review platform transparency
At Allocation Assist, we believe feedback should be honest, transparent and based on genuine experiences.
We have become concerned that our Trustpilot profile does not provide a complete picture of the experiences doctors have had with Allocation Assist. Genuine positive feedback that we believe came from real doctors we supported has, in some cases, been removed or hidden.
Rather than asking you to simply take our word for it, we created this page to explain our concerns, preserve genuine feedback from our community and share wider public discussions about Trustpilot’s moderation practices.
our postion
At our company, we believe in the importance of honest, transparent, and verified customer feedback. Unfortunately, Trustpilot, often fails to uphold these principles.
Our webpage is dedicated to showcasing all of our genuine, positive reviews that have been unfairly removed or hidden by Trustpilot. We aim to shed light on the systemic issues within the platform and demonstrate how it can be manipulated to distort a business’s reputation.
Trustpilot presents itself as a neutral review platform, but in reality, it operates as a pay-to-protect system that favors paid clients and allows unverified, potentially fake reviews to be posted without proof or verification. Despite clear violations of Trustpilot’s own policies, fake and damaging reviews often remain while legitimate positive feedback is deleted if a business does not become a customer of their paid subscription plans.
why we're speaking up
Trustpilot presents itself as an independent platform where consumers can share genuine experiences. We support that principle. However, we have experienced situations where feedback we believe to be genuine has disappeared, while businesses have limited ability to demonstrate publicly why they believe a particular moderation decision is incorrect.
Lack of verification
Trustpilot is an open platform. A review does not necessarily require a purchase or transaction in the traditional sense; it must instead relate to what Trustpilot considers a genuine experience. Anyone can post reviews without proof, customer records, or order history.
Inconsistent enforcement
Violation of policies by malicious reviewers are ignored, while legitimate business responses or minor infractions can lead to account suspensions. Automated systems inevitably make judgement calls. Trustpilot itself acknowledges that its systems may not always get decisions right.
Manipulative practices
The platform encourages damaging reviews to stay live until a business pays for “reputation management” tools, effectively turning reviews into a paid protection racket. Can any single review platform provide the complete picture of a business? We don’t think it can.
Bias and censorship
Our particular concern is the removal or hiding of positive feedback that we believe came from genuine doctors we have supported. We want those experiences to remain available so prospective doctors can consider them alongside feedback found elsewhere.
Trustpilot's own published results
of detected fake reviews were removed in 2024
of reviews submitted in 2024 were detected and removed as fake
Trustpilot says 4.5 million fake reviews were removed in 2024, representing 7.4% of reviews submitted that year. It says 90% of those detected fake reviews were removed automatically using its technology.
These figures don’t prove that Trustpilot is biased. They do, however, demonstrate the enormous scale of the challenge involved in determining which reviews are authentic and which should be removed.
For businesses and consumers alike, automated moderation decisions can have real reputational consequences.
BROADER CONCERNS
Our experience isn’t presented as proof that every moderation decision is wrong. But similar concerns have been raised publicly by business owners and reviewers across the internet.
Rather than summarising those conversations selectively, we encourage you to read them yourself.
“After weeks of back and forth, I’ve come to one conclusion. Trustpilot is not a review platform. It’s a pay-to-protect extortion racket disguised as one.”
“Trustpilot promotes itself as the “universal symbol of trust.” In reality, it has become a playground for scammers, where fake five-star reviews thrive, while genuine warnings get silenced.”
“There have been numerous times where Trust Pilot has removed negative reviews I have made. These reviews have been genuine reflections of my own experience as a customer.”
“I decided to post an honest review about the situation on Trustpilot, but yesterday I noticed that my review was removed. It’s surprising because my review was simple and truthful.”
“Still, the review was flagged as “suspicious” by their automated detection system. It made me wonder are platforms over-relying on algorithms to decide what’s genuine and what’s not?”
“However, if a company does not pay this subscription fee, anyone is able to leave a review, regardless of whether they have proof of purchase or not. “
“Firms that get a good score on Trustpilot are almost universally firms that pay Trustpilot to poll their customers. You can always spot a firm that doesn’t have a commercial relationship with Trustpilot because they have a terrible rating.”
THE REAL FEEDBACK
The most important voices in this conversation aren’t ours or Trustpilot’s. They’re the doctors we’ve actually supported.
Below are genuine experiences shared by doctors who have worked with Allocation Assist. Where feedback was previously removed or hidden on Trustpilot, we preserve it here so that prospective doctors can consider it alongside reviews from Google, our Success Stories, video interviews and other independent sources.

I had an excellent experience with Allocation Assist throughout my entire relocation and licensing process. They supported me every step of the way, from obtaining my DHA license and completing the requirements to join American Hospital Dubai, to assisting with other professional licensing processes, including Saudi Commission approval. Each stage has its own specific requirements, documents, and details, which can easily become complicated and stressful. The Allocation team made the whole process much easier, clearer, and completely feasible. They were always available to guide me, explain what was needed, and help move each step forward efficiently. I am very grateful for their professionalism, support, and commitment throughout the entire journey. I highly recommend Allocation to any healthcare professional going through licensing, credentialing, or relocation in the UAE or the region.![]()

It’s been a very smooth journey with Allocation Assist. I started the process of getting my medical qualifications recognised in the UAE with them about a year ago. Since the beginning, everyone has been really helpful and proactive throughout every phase. Their support has made the whole process much easier to navigate. I highly recommend Allocation Assist to anyone thinking about working in Dubai as a doctor, because tackling the bureaucracy on your own can be time-consuming and frustrating.![]()

I have had a great experience with Emilie and her wonderful team at Allocation Assist. They were actually recommended to me by friends who had had very positive experiences. They team supported me at every stage, from providing advice and insight into the Gulf healthcare market, to sorting out professional licensing and paperwork, and arranging interviews with some of the best hospitals in the region. Their efforts ultimately resulted in several job offers, and I honestly don't think I could have navigated the process so efficiently without their support. I also had the opportunity to visit their Dubai office and was made to feel very welcome. The team spent more than an hour with me discussing the healthcare market, available opportunities and my career plans. Based on my own experience, I would strongly recommend them to doctors considering relocating to the Gulf.
